When are the next semester courses available?
The next semester courses will usually be available the day after grades post for the current semester.
How do I transfer my current semester course into my future semester course?
- In My Blackboard, select the blank, Banner-generated course that was automatically created for the semester (e.g. Fall 2010-CMT-145-C51-200940-COURSETITLE).
The Assign Course Content form displays. - Important: Select Copy content from another course located in the middle of this form. (Do not select the other options.)
- Select Continue.
A list of all the Blackboard courses assigned to you as the designer will display. - Select the previous semester or development course from which you want to copy.
Caution: If you select an option OTHER than the Copy content from another course option and you click on the second Continue button, you will have to contact Educational Technologies, learning@nmsu.edu, to recreate your course. This will result in a time delay. - Select Continue.
How do I make my courses available to my students?
- In your blackboard course, select Manage Course.
- From the Manage Course screen, select Settings
- Under Administration, select Learning Context located on the far right.
- For Course availability for Students, set values to Always available
- Select Save Values to complete the activity.Your students can now get into your course.
How long are Blackboard courses available?
At this time Blackboard courses will remain on the system indefinitely. This could change do to space issues with the system.
I am the instructor of record but do not see my course. What do I do?
Your department secretary must contact Academic Scheduling for your campus.
